Today’s prompt, write a poem that reacts to both photography and to words in a language not your own. Now start translating the poem into English, with the idea that the poem is actually “about” your photograph. Use the look and feel of the words in the original to guide you along as you write, while describing your photography.
Lost In My Thoughts
Pakaan chhus be wati,
Setha pareshan te phatnus aamut,
Kaensi aes ne cheth pretzhnus be kyuth tchhus,
Avai tzolus be kunuizon rozni pannessei saeth.
I walked down the road,
Feeling sad and depressed,
No one cared enough to ask how i felt,
So i escaped to be alone with myself.
Rovmut osus be paninen khayalan manz,
Travha beon gare kinne na,
Tuji me panin gudin mein kunei vyes,
Yem be thovnus pannen jaaman manz,
Dras be paneni vati panus demag bei yale karne moojoob.
I was lost n my thoughts,
Thinking to leave my forester home or not,
I took Mr. Teddy my only friend,
Who helped me to stay grounded and sane,
Let me go down the road and clear my mind.
