Depression Doesn’t make you weak
I was in a bad place,
my thoughts made me depressed,
but i had to be silent, i couldn’t confess,
i was weak and powerless,
one thing i knew, i had to gain positivism,
and this was a ha process.
After a while, i realized,
i was the issue,
i was filled with fantasies,
of achieving unrealistic goals,
i thought at that time were fantastic,
but the result was catastrophic,
it led to depression.
This experience didn’t make me weak,
it made me strong like a brick,
it uncovered the truth, i wasn’t a freak,
i was just lost an i needed to find my way back,
i now know challenges make you strong not weak,
And this is a FACT!!!!!!!!!

I did some research and discovered many people go through it. Depression isn’t easy especially when you go through it alone. If you are a social person, talk to someone you trust. If you are a reserved introvert, write it down or talk to a professional.
Great advice… X

Fantastic idea. We advise journaling/maintaining a diary as a means to combat with depression and bipolar regularly. I love how you acknowledge unrealistic goal setting as one of the main causes behind depression. Good work Miss Jane!

Thank you, I agree… I found out that most people who suffer from depression have unrealistic expectations… Them not achieving their “fantasies ” make them feel depressed….

It’s good to vent out the emotions instead of hold on to them… Thanks for sharing your story Antsafanou ♥
